Early Childhood (Infants-PreSchool)

A place where children are cared for deeply—and begin to learn in meaningful ways.

Warm, consistent care paired with a thoughtful approach to early development, from infancy through preschool.

A Place You Can Trust

Choosing care for your young child is a big decision. At Mead, children are known, supported, and cared for in a calm, consistent environment where relationships come first.

Our classrooms are designed to feel:

  • Safe and predictable
  • Warm and responsive
  • Grounded in strong relationships with trusted adults

You can feel confident your child is in a place where they are truly cared for each day.

More Than Care—Thoughtful Early Learning

While care is at the heart of what we do, it is only the beginning.

The early years are when children develop the foundations for:

  • Language and communication
  • Early problem-solving
  • Social awareness
  • Independence and confidence

Our teachers intentionally support this development through observation, guidance, and carefully designed experiences that build skills over time.

Purposeful Play, Real Growth

What looks like play is where important learning happens.

Children are:

  • Building language through conversation and storytelling
  • Solving problems through block building and exploration
  • Learning to navigate friendships and emotions
  • Developing focus, persistence, and independence

Every part of the day is designed with purpose—even when it feels effortless to a child.

Part of a Larger Learning Journey

For many families, the Early Learning Center is the beginning of their experience at Mead.

As children grow, they move into a PK–8 program where:

  • Curiosity becomes inquiry
  • Early skills develop into strong academic foundations
  • Confidence and independence continue to grow

Some families join us for these early years. Others continue through elementary and middle school.

Both paths are supported—and both begin here.
